Regardless of how you feel, there’s no denying that what you do in the morning can have a severe impact on the rest of your day and can really inhibit your productivity.

When I was in school, one of the things my professors stressed was for us to eat a good breakfast. They even went as far to provide us with microwaves just in case we didn’t have time to cook something at home.

Unfortunately, I’m still very bad about eating breakfast every morning. The mornings that I do, I’m extremely productive. The mornings that I don’t? You guessed it – I hardly get much done.

If you want to start your day off right and make sure your productivity doesn’t get worse as the day goes on, then eating breakfast every morning is a great place to start.

1. Eat an Energizing Breakfast.

You can never compromise on breakfast. It’s going to give you the energy you need to not only be focused all day long, but it’ll also keep you from overeating at lunch and dinner.

Eat within an hour of waking up, and prepare foods that carry health benefits. According to Prevention, you need foods that are rich with fiber, Vitamin D, calcium, and omega-3’s, because this combination keeps blood sugar and energy levels steady. Some options may include whole wheat pancakes with flaxseed, cream of wheat with walnuts, cranberries, and syrup, and a broiled egg, tomato, and spinach sandwich.”
