Social media can be a great way to find new clients, connect with others freelancers, and give insight to what makes your business unique.

Getting people to “like” your page or “follow” you isn’t as easy as it looks, unfortunately.

That’s why it’s extremely important that you do your research and figure out the best ways to get people to follow you on social media.

Whenever you do manage to increase your following, have you really thought about what those people will do when they get to your page?

Getting people there is only half the battle, you must also keep them connected.

Caveat #1: You have to get clear on what you’re trying to accomplish by attracting more followers to your business.

What are you going to do with them when you get them there?

What’s the plan? Are you trying to grow interest and sales for your latest product line? Do you have a landing page set up to collect email addresses? Do you even have anything for sale yet?
