Why share this post? It’s packed with some really great ideas for getting more work done when you’re at home.
Here’s one small gem that I agree with whole-heartedly:
“Phones, e-mails and chats are there to help you in your work, but if for most entrepreneurs, they are also very distracting.
Not to mention, sometimes you lose a lot of time trying to explain something in an e-mail when it would take you several minutes to do it in person or on the phone – you should always be careful when choosing the medium for communicating with co-workers or clients.”
When you think about it, we’ve become pretty lazy in our communication and when we think a text message is “quicker” it actually takes a few hours of waiting for a response, clarifying intentions, etc. to get something done.
As a millenial, I totally get the whole “picking up the phone” complex. But I’ve learned you’ve got to do it.
You’ll be amazed how much more quickly your work can get done and how much less frustration you’ll feel from your clients and/or business partners.
